Cajon Lesson Ireland

This beautiful south american percussion instrument is a great way to learn the traditional style of Peruvian music or to learn more contemporary styles like Funk, Pop, Rock, Jazz and is used a lot for Irish Traditional Music.

Cajon is not an expensive instrument, the entry point to the instrument can be as low as €50 - €80 so it’s great for people that are thinking of getting into drumming and learning more about rhythm and the history of drumming. Also, learning the Cajon will improve manual dexterity giving the hands of the student more control over skillful day to day tasks and improve their range of motion. This can help students with Dyspraxia.

How To Set Up A Drum Kit?

One of the things i’ve found when teaching beginners drum lessons in Galway city in Ireland and online is that parents and beginner drummers set the drum kit up where everything is in place, however it is not ergonomically in place in order to play drums more efficiently. This can be a bit of a problem for a beginner drummer and especially for kids that wants to learn drums, and generally it’s only a few tweaks that make it perfect.
